Statera Watch Co. is an independent Brazilian watchmaking company, conceived in 2019 by Rafael Guimarães and Antonio Almir do Santos Neto. Both are passionate for watches and have the technical support of a great Brazilian watchmaker trained and qualified by great international brands, Ronan Zanesco.
The path that both traced until here was different from the traditional. Antonio graduated in Veterinary Medicine and worked as such for 10 years before completely changing his life to become a businessman. Rafael Guimarães had his career related to the Brazilian technology market, idealizing and developing solutions for the real estate market, before following a career in watchmaking.
Ronan Zanesco took his first steps in watchmaking as an apprentice to a local watchmaker in the city of Maringá, at the age of 7. From there he dedicated his life to this art, specializing in countries such as England, Switzerland and Italy and today he is among the most renowned watchmakers in the country. Joining forces to form A Statera Watch Co. in 2019, all three have a clear focus on what they want to do.
In essence, they want to unite the quality of Brazilian design, metallurgical art, precision timing and a vintage touch following the premises of the Calatrava style. That is why the entire design of the first watch, the ST01, is being done by the team in Brazil. Inside it beats a classic hand-wound Swiss heart. They are totally pioneers in the unexplored market of independent watches in Brazil.
